Dr. James Greer has been Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Brown University for 23 years. In 1999, he received the Nancy Roeske Award for Excellence in Teaching from the American Psychiatric Association for his work at Brown and in 2001, the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from the National Association for the Mentally Ill for his advocacy efforts on behalf of the mentally ill. |

Director of Intermediate and Residential Services Sharon Morello offered a two-day workshop entitled Identifying and Evaluating Research and Best Practices in Opioid Treatment in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in September and Indianapolis, Indiana, in October. Morello is also teaching a course entitled Medication Assisted Recovery and Buprenorphine Awareness at the 16th Annual New England School of Best Practices in Addiction in August. Sharon consulted on the Best Practice Guidelines for Nursing Professionals in Narcotic Treatment and received the Provider of the Year Award from Rhode Island Communities for Addiction Recovery Efforts. |
